This program is intended for children between 10 to 17 year old.
SLC has worked on many occasions with children who have problems adapting to a new school simply because they lack certain language skills which translates into difficulties in meeting the requirement of the curriculum.
We have developed an after-school math and reading program that employs a unique learning method designed to help each child develop the skills needed to perform to his or her full potential.
Often children who have difficulties with school work see their lives dramatically changed by a simple tutoring program. As they acquire new skills, they suddenly feel more confident and participate more actively in class activities.
Children have special needs; at SLC we are sensitive to these needs. Working in collaboration with parents, teachers and caretakers, we create a dynamic and comfortable teaching environment conducive to positive results.
Whether your child is a new immigrant, has enrolled in a new school or needs to attend a second-language immersion program, SLC has the program to help your child find a new love for learning.
Our teaching method
At SLC students are encouraged to speak languages by means of role play, oral presentations, verbal exchanges in the form of problem solving activities in real-life situations. Our method is designed to favour the active and continuous participation of the students. We make sure that students feel comfortable, confident and involved in the learning process.
Results that speak for themselves
Schools must cover material according to age or grade, and classes must advance as a group. Needless to say, not all children grasp all concepts at the same pace. SLC allows the individual needs and abilities of each child to govern his or her own progress. That’s why SLC students can perform at 100% of their potential.
